宙 Sora 

 

Sora is the sky, the space above ground, the air of atmosphere. I intend to express the night sky of Tanabata, the luminous moon, and glowing stars spare over the curtain of night.

 

It is made of porcelain and Japanese lacquer. The starry sky and crescent moon, the table shows the annular eclipse in the back. In the vessel for viewing the night sky in the festival of Tanabata, were transferred the sky filled with water.
